The official start of summer is almost here. Families are gearing up for their summer vacations, many to beach locations. Now we are learning about Great White Sharks spotted along the California coast.

It’s been called the hardest job in the military- being a military spouse. Today we say thank you to those who are married to members of the Armed Forces during Military Spouse Appreciation Day.
Military spouses are the silent heroes who support our troops during their missions and deployments.
They take care of the children and household, while their loved one is fighting for freedom all over the world.
I was a military spouse for a long time. My husband retired from the Navy after 21 years of service. Saying goodbye before deployments was extremely hard. Like many other military families, my husband missed the birth of children, holidays, and birthdays.
Even though my husband was on the other side of the world for many milestones, he was NEVER away from our hearts.
God Bless our Military and everyone who supports them – especially their spouses!

RASCAL FLATTS
The boys of Rascal Flatts have been in the business for almost 20 years, so they’ve learned a thing or two along the way. Of course, aspiring artists look to them for advice, and there’s one thing the guys always tell them.
Rascal Flatts talk about giving advice to new artists. “I mean, I think one thing we always tell them is, you know, don’t try to headline too early. And then whoever’s been on tour with us, we’ve told them, ‘Your job is to go out there and kick our butt every single night on stage and steal every single fan that’s out there. That’s what you gotta do. Go out there and make them want more, and sing like it’s the last time you’re gonna sing.”

Dustin Lynch tries to keep to a semi-strict diet while he’s out on the road, but there’s one treat he just can’t resist.
Dustin Lynch talks about the ice cream on his bus. “We have an array of ice cream, which is bad for me because ice cream is my weakness. And unfortunately, for four other guys in my band, their weakness is ice cream. So, we always have Ben and Jerry’s, and then some sort of gelato, Klondike bars, and then Nutter Butters over here. It’s an ice cream freezer.”

Luke Combs has a lot of downtime when he’s out on tour, and he spends most of it binge-watching his favorite TV shows. So, what’s on his DVR?
Luke Combs talks about the shows in his DVR. “I love First 48, any kind of real-life crime documentary thing, I’m really into. I love Vice, a lot of their documentary-type stuff. I love 60 Minutes. Any kind of investigative journalism I’m really into, and stuff.”
’13 Reasons Why’ has been renewed for a 13-episode second season that will premiere in 2018.
Insiders say Season 2 will deal with the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s death and how her classmates begin their complicated journey of healing and recovery.
There have been many critics of the show, saying it glorifies teen suicide. Others have praised the series for revealing the devastating effects of bullying, cyber bullying, and assault.
I watched ’13 Reasons Why’ with my 15 yr old son. We discussed the serious issues and cried.

JURASSIC WORLD STARS VISIT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Actor Chris Pratt and his Jurassic World co-star Bryce Dallas Howard recently took a break from dinosaurs to spend an afternoon with kids at a children’s hospital in London.
The actors are currently shooting the Jurassic World sequel and decided to make a surprise visit to the Great Ormond Street Hospital where they hung out with kids and staff.
After the visit, Pratt – who currently stars in the box office hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – said afterwards that he was moved by his meeting with the kids, who he referred to as “warriors.”
He said, “Bryce and I had the tremendous pleasure of spending some time with our new buddy Elle and a few other patients. I’ll never fail to be moved by the unbreakable spirit of a child. Today my longing and hungry soul is filled.”
The actors thanked the staff for all that they do and then posed for photos. (Entertainment Weekly)
I saw this video and I became concerned. I take Route 340 twice a day – 6 days a week. Just a few years ago a big rock/bolder came down on 340 near Chestnut Hill Rd and caused an accident. Thankfully no one was seriously injured.
Over the next two days, our region is going to receive a significant amount of rain. I am going to be traveling with extreme caution on Route 340.

Interesting news out of Hollywood! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may run for President.
When GQ Magazine asked him if a run for the White House is in his future, he replied “I think that it’s a real possibility”.
The 45 year old actor did not endorse either candidate in the 2016 election.
Last year he told Reuters, “I love my country, I’m extremely patriotic and I also feel, especially now, leadership is so important, great leadership is so important, respected leadership is so important”.

So many changes in one year. So many blessings in our life with this little one.His personality is as big as his blue eyes. There’s a special love in your heart that you never knew existed until you become a grandmother, or in my case a Gee Gee. I was supposed to be Gigi but Grayson couldn’t pronounce Gigi so I’m happy with Gee Gee.
We had our first conversation in the car the other day. He started by saying “Gee Gee I see a barn” to which I replied “Gee Gee sees the barn too. What do you think is in that barn?” “Cows Gee Gee” he said. I asked him if there were goats in the barn too and he said “No Gee Gee….goats are in the fence”. Moments I will treasure for a lifetime!
But how does this happen??? How do they grow up so fast???
