{Hollywood} Minor Legal Setback for Taylor Swift!

United States District Court judge William Martinez dealt Taylor Swift a small setback in her upcoming trial.

Swift wished to use expert testimony of a woman who’s studied the profiles of sexual predators. She believes a Colorado radio DJ likely felt threatened by a “powerful woman.” Therefore, he lashed out by groping Taylor’s butt.

The legal team for David Mueller successfully got that testimony blocked. However, Lorraine Bayard de Volo is still allowed on the witness stand. She will describe why women delay making accusations of sexual assault.

Taylor Swift waited two years to level a claim against Mueller. His lawsuit states Taylor falsely accused him of groping. He’s sued for millions in lost wages. Since getting fired, Mueller has been out of the radio business.  (The Hollywood Reporter)

O.J. Will Soon Be Out Of Jail

O.J. Simpson was granted an early release from prison Thursday after a Nevada parole board unanimously granted the request.

The 70-year-old Hall of Fame football star could be out by October 1st — but that doesn’t mean he’s walking out a free man.  If he is found to breach any of the terms of his release, his parole officer can arrest him and bring him back to prison.

Simpson has been serving time at a medium-security prison northeast of Reno. He was convicted in 2008 for an armed robbery at a Las Vegas hotel in which he and a group of men tried to recover sports memorabilia.  That incident gave him a nine- to 33-year prison sentence.

 

I watched the entire hearing yesterday and was surprised by O.J.’s defensive attitude and lack of remorse.  In my opinion – prison has not changed O.J.

O.J. Back In The Spot Light Today

Today O.J. Simpson, 70, is scheduled to appear at a parole hearing related to robbery and kidnapping charges and it will be broadcast live around the country.

Since 2008, the former-football legend has been held in the Lovelock Correctional Facility in Nevada for a string of crimes including armed robbery and kidnapping.

The parole hearing will be covered by ESPN, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.  Which means, regularly scheduled programming on major networks will most likely be interrupted.

Simpson was tried and acquitted for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.

Parents – Justice Recalls Make-Up

My daughter loved Justice when she was younger and we would always get her clothes and make-up from the store. This story worries me!

Justice released a statement on their facebook page regarding a highlighter they are selling.

“Upon receiving an inquiry about the Just Shine Shimmer Powder product … we immediately began an investigation and, out of an abundance of caution, stopped the sale of this product in our stores and on our website,” The statement read. “Our suppliers are required to produce all products in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. If any supplier fails to do so, it is our practice to hold them responsible. We cannot speculate regarding the matter while we investigate.”

Justice pulled the make-up off their store shelves after reporters at ABC- WTVD in Durham, N.C., sent samples of Just Shine Shimmer Powder to a lab to see if it contained any non-listed ingredients. The station said its investigation turned up asbestos and a handful of toxic heavy metals.

Since the investigation, the product has been pulled from store shelves. The FDA prohibits sale of contaminated makeup products, like those containing the talc with asbestos.
