Get ready to move your clocks ahead this weekend.
Daylight Saving Time arrives this weekend! That means we need to move our clocks ahead one hour before we go to bed on on Saturday March 11th or at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 12th. This gives us more hour of daylight!
More than 70 countries follow Daylight Saving Time. China, Japan, and India do not. Hawaii and Arizona do not observe Daylight Saving Time.
Health experts say that workers are less productive in the Monday after the time change.
That means lots of tea from Voila for the 99.9 Free Country Wake Up on Monday:)

This is the best news ever! I am a huge fan of the Tour de Frederick and I love it that we are getting started early this year. We are also a full blown “we” this year! WFRE & WFMD are teaming up to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County and ride bikes.
Make sure to join our team The Cyclebabbles! You can use code WFRE17 to save $10 off the registration fee. I can’t wait!

Today is ‘International Women’s Day’. This day has also been dubbed ‘A Day Without a Woman’.
The organizers of January’s Women’s March in Washington D.C. are calling on women to take the day off and not spend any money to show their economic strength and impact on American society.
The U.S. Census Bureau reports women make up more than 47 percent of the workforce.
So does this mean mom’s have a day off too? No cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, and help with homework?
I love my job and taking care of my family! I am working today.

Watch Cookie Monster do a video with kids that are maybe older than they should be for a Cookie Monster video. There also a ton of sarcasm and sass in this video. I think the Nutter Butter scene is the best part.
Great. Now I want cookies…
Hey guys!!! A little over three months until our big day!! There are so many fun and exciting things coming up quickly!
I just had my first make-up trail the other day, and it was amazing! Just a little about me– I love make-up and am always a little nervous to have someone
else do my make-up because…I just know what I like! But, Smooch! Studio in Downtown Frederick out did themselves! While searching for a make-up artist for my wedding day, I was SUPER particular. Like I said, I am the type of person that does my make up everyday; the least I’ll wear out in public are brows and mascara! It’s just my thanggg 😉
So when I met with Nicole Knight from Smooch she said all the right things and explained how easy, carefree, and trustworthy getting my face done at their studio would be.
Of Course, their shop is already adorable and perfect for the “getting ready” pictures that every bride likes to have with their bridesmaids the morning of. I have 8 girls getting their make-up done that day! So it’s going to be very busy, but Nicole said “no problem!”
My first make-up trial was so much fun! (See finished product on left!) Shout out to Ashley, the manager, who did my gorgeous make over. She started out cleaning my face and getting it in prime condition for full make up. Ashley gave made a custom foundation that perfectly matches my skin, stays on ALL day, and if I get a bit of a tan (I say bit because I never tan!) she will re-mix the color for me! Obviously, I wanted to buy my own bottle and now I use it everyday and I can bring that bottle right back to her on my wedding day and we can use it. After testing out eye shadows, liners, contouring, and putting on my false eyelashes we tried on lipsticks, which I never go to crazy with. She put on a raspberry-reddish color on me (Ill find the exact name for you) and I fell in LOVE <3 she knew what would look good with my skin color and she was right! So…I bought a couple of those, too 😉 I was ready for a serious photo shoot, but only went to the grocery store after my appointment haha…womp womp. At least I got to show of my pretty make-up somewhere!
I have one more make-up trial before my wedding and I can’t wait to see it all done again! I’m so happy and feel so great about having Smooch Studio do make-up for my entire bridal party and myself!
….I told you I loved make-up!!! I could talk for hours about it!
Oh! I also ordered my invitations!! FINALLY! Now, I just have to wait for them to come in and then hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to get them mailed out.
Coming up in April, my BACHELORETTE!!!! So, i’m sort of taking a squad down to Georgia with me and I.CANT.WAIT. We are going to Savannah to stay with my Maid-of-Honor who lives there, so it worked out perfectly. She knows the best places to go and all of us other girls get a little weekend vacay. Every time I go to Savannah I love it even more, so I can’t wait to have all my best friends there with me.
After we recover from that trip, i’m sure things are going to start flying by. Hair trials (which I am also SUPER excited about), bridal showers in May, prepping for the wedding, final dress alterations, and finishing touches.
It’s all getting so exciting and coming to life after just talking about it for months!
