It’s National ‘No’ Housework Day – WHAT??!!

Today we observe National No Housework Day.  This is a day where we are suppose let it all go!  The dishes, dust, and laundry. All household chores are to be put off until tomorrow.

This day was created to give us a day of relaxation.  We are suppose to do something that does not involved ANY house cleaning.

I know this is probably my husband and children’s favorite holiday.  No nagging from mom/wife about dishes in the sink or clothes on the floor.

To celebrate post #NoHouseWorkDay and do something that doesn’t involve cleaning.

My post will be with my feet up and a glass of wine.  I hope to enjoy it – but if I see dust on the end table I may have to …….let it go until tomorrow:)

DUSTIN LYNCH

Dustin Lynch was barely recognizable on Sunday when he walked the red carpet at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas without his signature hat. He said he debated whether he should go hatless, but ultimately comfort won out.

Dustin Lynch said it was a bit hard to part with his hat at the ACM Awards. “There was definitely a discussion about the hat. It was so hot out here, it was like this makes sense. Let’s let the hair breathe today.”

WILLIAM MICHAEL MORGAN

William Michael Morgan wants to help his future bride, Jennifer Wayne of Runaway June, plan their wedding — to a point. He clearly knows what to help with and what to stay out of.

William Michael Morgan on helping plan his wedding. “I want to be as much as I can. When it comes to the fine chinas and what champagne and what all that’s going to be, I let her handle that. I’ll work on the guest list.”

FRANKIE BALLARD

Frankie Ballard‘s recent wedding to Christina Murphy came as a surprise to fans. But they’d been quietly dating for six years when they finally tied the knot.

Christina lived in California, and when she finally moved to be closer to her man, he knew she was a keeper.

Frankie Ballard talks about how he knew his wife Christina was the one. “Now it’s very close distance relationship. Now I can’t barely keep my hands off of her. We live in Nashville and I think when Chrissy moved to Nashville from California, that’s when I really knew that she was the one.”

National Student Athlete Day

Today is National Student Athlete Day!  This day recognizes the accomplishments of student-athletes who excel in the classroom and on the field.

This day encourages families, schools and communities to support their student athletes in all their endeavors.

Health experts say students who participate in high school sports benefit by representing their school and community, while receiving praise for a job well done.

Studies show student athletes are less likely to participate in unhealthy or risky behavior when they are playing sports in high school.  The average GPA of a high school athlete was 2.84, while a student who was not involved in athletics had an average GPA of 2.68.

JASON ALDEAN

Jason Aldean left his tux home when he went to Sunday’s ACM Awards.

When he accepted his Entertainer of the Year Award he wore a short red leather jacket he had for years, a Billy Joel T-shirt, a scarf and jeans.

Jason Aldean likes to dress casual for award shows. “Honesty, my style is I like to be comfortable. My style is I don’t like to sitting out there stiff in sports coats and ties and stuff. I mean I’m miserable. Give me a t-shirt a leather jacket and some jeans. That’s me getting dressed up.”

THOMAS RHETT

Newly crowned Male Vocalist of the Year Thomas Rhett is on the top of the world since taking home two trophies at the ACM Awards on Sunday. But his next goal is even loftier.

Thomas Rhett has been getting advice on being a dad on the road. “My next milestone is to be the best dad humanly can. Anybody that has kids that’s a touring musician whether it’s Dierks or Luke, I talked to Hillary Scott today from Lady A. I’m just trying to get as much advice as possible on how to be a dad that also plays 200 shows a year.”

LITTLE BIG TOWN

We May Be On The Verge Of A Lyme Disease Outbreak

Every year 300,000 new cases of Lyme Disease are reported in America. But health experts are now saying that 2017 may be the worst Lyme Disease outbreak ever.

This is due to an increase in acorns expected this year.  The surge in acorns means the mouse populations will rise and so will the disease carrying ticks.

Lyme disease symptoms can be treated mostly with antibiotics, but severe symptoms can set in if there is a long period of time between when the bite occurs and the person has been diagnosed. Doctors are reporting more and more patients are being diagnosed with an advanced case of Lyme disease.

The most confirmed cases of Lime disease in the U.S. are Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Some early symptoms of early Lyme disease are flu-like illness with possible fever, chills, sweats, muscle aches, fatigue, nausea and joint pain. Some patients have a rash or Bell’s palsy.

Let’s hope 2017 does not go down in history as the worst outbreak of Lyme disease.

A mom bought her daughter a b-day snapchat filter for her school

DUDE!

We have done snap chat filters in the past to help celebrate concerts and the Great Frederick Fair. People seemed to enjoy them and we liked making them. Harmless fun.

Meanwhile, in Ohio, a well-meaning Mom with technology beyond her control bought a snap chat filter for her daughter. It was for her 17th birthday. It was geo-tagged to her school. That means that every snap chat using teenager saw it.

Did you just blush or face palm?

I love this story. It had to have been a great learning experience for all involved. It is the 2017 version of sky writing \”HAPPY BIRTHDAY\” above your kid\’s school.

How would you react?
