If they haven’t already, Taco Bell may want to add “You’re Welcome” to the list of sayings on their hot sauce packets. Because they may have just saved ANOTHER life . . .
Two weeks ago, there was a story about a guy in Oregon who got stranded in the snow for five days. And he had nothing to eat except three packets of Taco Bell Fire Sauce.
Well, a 77-year-old guy and his wife were leaving a Taco Bell in Winter Haven, Florida on Saturday. (About halfway between Orlando and Tampa.)
And he accidentally put his car in drive instead of reverse, and crashed into the Taco Bell dining room.
Their car plowed through a pillar outside, and then through a window, right where a guy was sitting. But he’s okay . . . because he’d just gotten up to go get more hot sauce.
The car ended up about 10 feet inside the building. But no one was hurt.

I got a chance to reconnect with past podcast guest Myles Hopton, EqDt – Pegasus Equine Services at the Maryland Horse Rescue on Saturday. He was kind enough to invite me to observe him and a handful of other amazing people do a spring cleaning on some rescue horses.
I met so many amazing people and got a chance to learn a ton about horses. I also learned about the nutritional value of hay! Big podcast plans!
It was great meeting: PenMar Equine Practice, LLC, Equine Dental Solutions w/ Katie Herman, Kelly’s Equine Dental Tools/Instruments, Doug Leavitt, and Chris Edmonds of Hippologic. (FYI These are the names I wrote down. Let me know if you were there too!)
They all let me bug them while they worked on dozens of old or blind horses. I can\’t wait to share their stories. A perfect way to start a great weekend. Just wish it had been a little warmer!
This weekend we went to the Annual Dance Benefit for St. Jude! Sidney and Sadie has a blast dancing! It’s a really great event for the whole family, check out their awesome moves 🙂
My kids learned to line dance this weekend!

In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day I decide to make Shepherd’s Pie; something I’ve never made before!
It was incredibly easy, especially because I used boxed mashed potatoes instead of making my own, but i’m sure using real potatoes would taste even better.
Start out with a large 12-inch skillet, over medium-high heat, and add ground beef,onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook and crumble meat until browned. Drain grease. Then, Sprinkle flour evenly over meat mixture. Stir and cook 1 minute. Stir in tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce and oregano.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Stir in frozen peas, carrots and corn. Cook another 5 to 10 minutes or until heated through. It will cook further in the oven.
In a different pot, mix together your mashed potatoes according to the packaging. OR for making your own (I would start this first, if you are)…
I used a casserole dish and poured in the meat mixture into the bottom, then scoop mashed potatoes in a layer on top of the meat mixture. Leave as a layer, do not mix together. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

No seriously, hahahah thank you! In light of National Good Samaritan Day I wanted to thank the guy who hit my car over the weekend for restoring my faith in humanity.
Over the weekend, my car was hit in a parking lot. Now you know, this car is my baby. I just bought it 7 months ago! What could have been an easy hit and run….wasn’t. I mean, in today’s society you expect nothing less. BUT John Doe came into the store looking for the owner of the car he just hit. Surprise, surprise! It’s me!
Instead of getting angry, I thanked him for his honesty and realized how easy it would have been for him to just leave. However, he didn’t. He did what I would have done and confronted the situation and took responsibility for it. This act of kindness and honesty has officially restored my faith in humanity!
