Eleven months has been a month full of fun with Lily!
We started out the month thinking that she would be running by the end of the month, but it looks like she is taking her time with that! She DID take her first steps! Which was so exciting, but she really hasn’t been that interested in it. She will stand up and take a couple steps and then decide that it isn’t fast enough and get down and crawl.
She is also talking so much! Well…trying to talk. Copying everything I say with a baby talk twist to it! “Thank you,” “All done,” “Here you go,” “Hi” and a few other little things. It’s all so cute coming out of her mouth.
We finally got a little playroom finished for her where we could put all of the toys that we have acquired for her in one space, and a safe place that she can play in without me following her around taking things out of her hands and making sure shes not putting things in her mouth. It is so much nicer.
She is still on a strict sleeping schedule, per her request! Which makes going out to dinner at a restaurant very challenging unless we go for an early dinner. She is just like her Mama and when she is tired…she is ready for bed NOW. We had our first ‘leave a restaurant without eating out food incident’. We had reservations at a new Mexican restaurant, but ended up waiting an hour to sit. So…as we crept closer to 7:00 PM I saw her getting grouchier and grouchier. Then, once it was 7:00 she had a full on meltdown! Screaming, right as the waiter was bringing us out our food. Luckily, my parents were with us and said you guys just get it to go! So we boxed up our food, took Lily home to bed and had a nice Mexican meal at home.
We tried a restaurant again yesterday morning…success! Breakfast is a much better time to take her out. She was well rested and LOVES pancakes and eggs.
Halloween was fun! We didn’t go tick-or-treating because of the weather, but we did go to her daycare Halloween party and had a blast! All of the kids dressed up and Lily was the CUTEST unicorn ever! She really didn’t mind the costume because it was just like a puffy zip up jacket with a hood that kept her warm.
Now that it is November, we are officially in her birthday month! I can’t even begin to describe the emotions and feelings looking back on the past year with her…but, ill save all of that for another post.
Right now, I am focusing on celebrating her 1st Birthday on the 18th! We are definitely throwing a big family party and I can not wait! Balloons, decorations, cake, cookies…I am ready to give this little girl a party that…she probably wont remember. BUT, we sure will!

YUMMMMMMMMMM (with a million more M’s)
This was better than I expected and so easy! Tim pretty much licked his plate clean and said “okay we should have this once a week!”
Start out with your ground beef patties. Combine ground beef, minced garlic, Italian seasoning mix, 1/2 package dried onion soup mix , 1/2 cup panko or italian bread crumbs, yellow mustard, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Mix with a spoon or your hands until everything is combined. Then, form 4-6 oval shaped patties.
Cook each patty about 2-4 minutes on each side in a skillet on medium-high heat. Then, remove, cover and set aside.
Then, start on your gravy! Add 1 T of olive oil to your pan. Sautee mushrooms and onions 2-4 minutes. Add in the garlic and saute another minute. Add in warm water, 2 pkg low sodium brown gravy mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir with a whisk over medium heat until gravy thickens.
Add your patties back into the gravy mixture and use a spoon to cover with gravy. Cook over low heat an additional 5 minutes or until patties are cooked through.
Put it all over a pile of mashed potatoes and you are done!
1 lb organic ground beef ( or the best quality you can afford)
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning mix
1/2 package dried onion soup mix
1/2 C panko bread crumbs ( you can use Italian bread crumbs or homemade here too)
1 tsp yellow mustard
2 tsp natural ketchup
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 pkg low sodium brown gravy mix
2 C warm water
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp ketchup
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 C chopped fresh mushrooms
1/4 C diced onions
fresh parsley for garnish

Here is a statement from the Frederick Police Department
“Both the Frederick Police Department and The City of Frederick have been receiving inquiries as to the status of tonight’s Trick-or-Treating. As this is not a city-sponsored event, it is up to each community to make the decision to postpone or not.
We can tell you FPD will be out and about tonight and officers may possibly have goodie bags (ok they will).
If you have children who will be trick-or-treating tonight, here are a couple of tips.
1. Stay on the sidewalks and out of the roadways.
2. Modify the costume – pin up long dresses, wear comfortable shoes, carry masks instead of wearing them.
3. Stay in well-lit areas.
4. and most importantly – trash bags make excellent impromptu rain jackets.
Have fun, be safe, and call us if you need us – we will be here!”
Easy peazyyyy!

A fun breakfast for the kids and they get cool vampire teeth out of it, too!
This is so easy, get a box of glazed donuts! If you use another kind the vampire teeth might cause them to break in half.
Candy eyes, green gooey icing, and vampire teeth are the only other thing you need. Stick the teeth in the middle facing out and then put icing on the back of the candy eyes and add 1, 2 or 3 on the top of the donuts!
Thats it!!

ICYMI I totally crushed Patrick in this Bobbing for Apples Challenge and he didn’t take the loss very well….
