If you love baby back ribs that fall off the bone with the most delicious slow cooked flavor EVER, then this one is for you!!
I’ve only ever had ribs cooked from a restaurant or done on the grill..but I came across this recipe and had to try and it was the best decision ever.
We grabbed two racks of baby back ribs from our local grocery store. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
Start out by pulling off the membrane on the back of the ribs. The easiest way is to get one end started, grip with paper towel, and tear completely off.
Then we are going to mix the delicious rub: In a small bowl, add of 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 Tablespoon each of Garlic Powder, Paprika and Smokehouse Maple Seasoning.
On a large baking pan, put a layer of heavy duty foil down, or two layers of regular foil, and lay ribs on top. Using the rub, apply 1/2 to the meaty side, pressing into the meat. Then turn the meat over and apply the other 1/2 of the rub to the bone side. Rub all over, including the sides.
Take a second sheet of heavy duty foil and place on top of the ribs, sealing all the way around to make a packet. Place into the oven and cook for 2 hours (we had two racks, so we added a half hour, it just depends on your oven).
Once the timer is done, take the ribs out and cut them into serving size sections. Take your favorite BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbecue Sauce) and cover one side of the ribs with it. Place them back into the oven for 10 minutes, then take out and put sauce on the other side and cook for another 10 minutes. That’s it!!
Serve them right out of the oven!
