{Katie’s Kitchen} Blackberry Cobbler

Brought to you by Catoctin Mountain Orchard

I am so excited to be teaming up with Catoctin Mountain Orchard for Katie’s Kitchen and this recipe was the perfect way to kick things off!

The cool thing about Catoctin Mountain Orchard is that they have some of their own recipes to share! I went to the Orchard last week to visit and learned that it was Blackberry season! So I got fresh blackberries to go for this cobbler recipe!

After trying not to eat all of the blackberries, because they just taste sooo much better than the store bought berries, I started my cobbler!

This recipe was so easy and only took 10 minutes to prepare. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Start out with a 9×13 in. baking pan, grab a stick of butter and melt it, and then pout that into the bottom of the pan.

Then, mix your self-rising flour, sugar and milk in a mixing bowl. The mix will be slightly lumpy. Next, pour your mix into the dish right on top of the butter, BUT do not stir the flour mix and butter together.

Finally, take your blackberries (3 1/2 cups) and drop them into the mix all over. Put it in the oven and cook for about 50 mins. or until golden brown.

SUPER EASY and oh my goodness is it yummy!

We put it in a bowl with vanilla ice cream and that was the perfect ending to the day 🙂

INGREDIENTS: Here is the recipe from Catoctin Mountain Orchard
