Two Brothers Arrested For Two Burglaries In Montgomery County

Police are looking for suspects in three other break-ins.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Two brothers have been charged with two burglaries in Montgomery County. Alex Dumitru, 23, and Natalian Dumitru, 18, were arrested at their home in Catonsville.   Both have been released on $10,000 unsecured personal bond.

Police say between March and April, 2024, unknown individuals forced their way into five difference places. They did damage and stole some property.

Detectives say they were able to connect the two suspects with the break-ins at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the 15000 block of Good Hope Road, and the US Zen Institute in the 19200 block of Liberty Mill Road.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the burglaries at a home in the 2300 bloc of Spencerville Road, the Noor Center in the 20500 block of Boland Farm Road, and a residence attached to the Wat Thai Washington DC in the 13400 block Layhill Road. The Wat Thai Washington DC is a Buddhist Meditation Center.

Montgomery County Police say they received assistance from Baltimore County Police when arresting Alex and Natalian Dumitru at their home in Catonsville.
