Hagerstown, Md (KM) Traffic will be shifted on Interstate 81 in the Hagerstown area in Washington County Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The Maryland State Highway Administration says motorists will be detoured from I-81 south to I-70 east and I-70 East to I-81 north. The detour will be in place from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM SHA says motorists should plan for extra time.
After the closures, motorists will be switched onto the newly constructed collector-distributor on I-70 to allow crews to work on the deck replacement project.
Triton Construction, Inc., of Albans, West Virginia will be doing the work. The company says it will use signs, construction barrels and cones to assist motorists in navigating through the detour and the work zone.
