Frederick, Md (KM) One person arrested for a double shooting last year in Frederick is now charged with 2nd-degree murder. Police say one of the victims in the incident identified as Xavier Jace Smith succumbed to his injuries on October 12th, 2024. .
Darryl Lee Cooke, 30, of Frederick was arrested for the shootings which occurred during the early morning hours of October 5th, 2024 in the area of North Market and East Church Streets.
The investigation into this incident is continuing by Frederick Police, and the State’s Attorney’s Office.
