Clarksburg, Md (KM) Maryland State Police continue their investigation into a fatal crash on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County earlier this month which killed a Frederick man.
On the morning of May 13th, troopers with the State Police Barrack in Rockville responded to I-270 at Route 109. Their preliminary investigation determined that a dump truck and Ford Transit were involved in a crash. The dump truck operated by Rodney Lee Gibson, 54, struck a bridge abutment, and overturned into a ravine. Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam video of the incident to contact Master Trooper Jeremy Hite. at [email protected].
