Gaithersburg, Md. (BW)- Montgomery County Police arrested and charged a man with sexual abuse of a minor on Thursday, May 9.
He was also charged with displaying obscene material to a minor.
32-year-old Damon Junior Cruz was alleged of sexually assualting a minor several times between November 2021 and February 2024. The victim came forward on Apr 30 of this year and reported it to police.
Cruz was the victim’s pitching and hitting coach.
Upon his arrest he was taken to Montgomery County Central Processing Unit where he was released on bond.
Police believe there may be other victims and are asking them to come forward.
