No one was injured.
Frederick, Md (KM) Fire and rescue personnel were called to the Urbana Regional Library in the 9000 block Amelung Street Tuesday morning just after 11:15 for a building fire. That was the location for one of the polling places for the Maryland Primary. .
According to the Frederick Scanner Facebook page, fire fighters arriving on scene saw nothing evident, but the occupants of the building were evacuated. Fire officials say there was an odor coming from the penthouse area. Crews checked the utilities, the heating and air conditioning system and the boiler. They located a burned out circulator pump.
Building maintenance arrived on the scene to make repairs. Fire and rescue crews started clearing short before 12:00 noon.
There were no injuries reported.
