Feasibility Study Results Favorable for FCPL’s West Frederick Library Site

The City and County worked together to select the site.

FREDERICK, MD.  (LG)    The results of a feasibility study has found that a proposed site of a West Frederick Library is favorable for construction.  The site, located at 501 McCain Drive, in the Hillcrest neighborhood, was selected by Frederick County in partnership with the City of Frederick.

The scope of the study shows that the location is suitable for the capital project.  It is favorable for a 15,000 square foot, one-story library building, officials said.  The site will also feature designated parking and other outdoor features.

The City of Frederick’s Board of Aldermen will hold a workshop to discuss the study, on Wednesday, May 15th at 7 p.m.
