Drugs, Handgun Confiscated During Traffic Stop In Frederick County Last Week

A Virginia man was arrested and charged.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Winchester, Virginia man was arrested following a traffic stop in Frederick County last week.

The Sheriff’s Office says Sean Lloyd Roberts, 49, was pulled over on westbound I-70 on Thursday, March 21st. . He was arrested and charged with four counts of drug possession, and one count each of possession of paraphernalia, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, having a handgun in a vehicle, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction.

Authorities say a search of Roberts’ vehicle netted, 17.6 grams of methamphetamine, 2.7 grams of crack cocaine, seven grams of fentanyl and 13.7 grams of “boot” which is a chemical methamphetamine. .

Deputies also found a Smith and Wesson .380 handgun in Roberts’ vehicle.    He is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a previous felony conviction.

Roberts is being held without bond at the Frederick  County Adult Detention Center.
