According to AAA Auto Club, many people will be traveling over the mountains and through the woods to Grandma’s house this Thanksgiving!
Just over one million Marylanders are expected to travel for Thanksgiving, the highest volume of traffic expected for the holiday since 2005.
AAA expects 1.03 million people in the state will travel 50 miles or more. That’s an increase of 3 percent from last year. Nationally, 48.7 million Americans will hit the road or fly that weekend, which AAA defines as being between Nov. 23 and Nov. 27.
AAA reports a gallon of regular gas in Maryland is around $2.20 as of Monday, an increase of 11 cents from this time last year.
What are your plans for this Thanksgiving?
