It’s the 7 month count down now!! Make that…222 days until our wedding 🙂
Save the dates, wedding invitations and table decorations and a cake have been on my mind lately.
On Sunday I was at the FNP Bridal Expo at the Frederick Fair Grounds…WOW!! I had no clue how huge the event would be! Over 600 people signed up to attend. There were so many amazing vendors I saw and tried to win prizes for. I did end up winning a purse from a flower company! So that was cool! I was putting all my tickets that we were given in the cake bakery stands and tasted some of the most amazing cupcake and cake samples…yum! The entire event was definitely something that i’m so glad I attended. You get great ideas, speak with professionals in the wedding business and check out the local vendors in the area. I got to see my friend J.J. who had a stunning booth set up with some of her gorgeous gowns from TLC Bridal in Downtown Frederick and saw friends from M. Stein Tuxedos as well!
In the past two weeks, I did check off a couple items on my checklist!!
~Bridesmaid dress appointment is checked and I can’t wait to go and see what TLC has in their store for my girls! My mom is also getting her “Mother of the Bride” dress from TLC this Friday.
~Wedding Planner! I finally got an amazing wedding planner! I was going to get someone to be our ‘day of coordinator’ but when I saw all of the services that a wedding planner has to offer I said “why not!”
~I picked a photo that we will be using for our ‘Save the Date’ cards and I can’t wait to get them printed and sent out. Just need to start collecting addresses from people!
~My BACHELORETTE PARTY! I am so excited that my best friends are traveling with me to Savannah, GA for a celebration-filled weekend in April. My MOH lives in the city and is ready to show us all the sites and fun things to do while we are in town.
~DJ!!! We chose a DJ that some of you might know….Brian Mo! Of course we wanted the best for our wedding so Brian Mo Entertainment it is! We met with B-MO on Saturday and i’m already making a list of songs and ideas to throw his way 🙂 hehe.

Leaf peeping experts say right now our area is hitting peak autumn foliage!
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources reports leaf colors are at or just past peak in Frederick County and most areas in Western and Central Maryland. In a few places, the leaves are already starting to drop
If you plan on heading out this weekend to look at the beautiful colors of reds, yellows, and oranges on trees, try Gathland, Washington Monument, and South Mountain State Parks. You can also take a drive on Route 40 into Washington County to look at leaves in Greenbrier State Park.
On Sunday, November 6th at 2 AM, we head right back into Standard Time. That means we will travel back in time by one hour and get a chance to sleep in!
This is also the time of year when fire officials encourage homeowners to change the batteries in both their smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in their homes. They say working smoke alarms and CO detectors double a family’s chance of surviving a home fire or unsafe carbon monoxide levels.
Maryland’s new smoke alarm law in 2013 requires the replacement of all BATTERY-ONLY operated smoke alarms with units powered by sealed-in, 10-year long-life batteries. Remember all smoke alarms have expiration dates. Both hard-wired and battery-operated smoke alarms need to be replaced every ten years. If your smoke alarm has not been replaced since 2006, it’s time!
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office said this is also the perfect time to go over your family’s escape plan in the event of a fire.
It’s a good time to be Little Big Town. Karen, Kimberly, Jimi and Philip have been working on a new album and the first single from that upcoming project can now be heard on WFRE. The song is called “Better Man” and it was written by Taylor Swift.
Taylor took to social media to express her excitement about one of her favorite bands recording her song. LBT is up for Vocal Group Of The Year tonight at the CMAs.
That’s not the only news from Little Big Town. The grammy-winning quartet is also taking up residency at the Ryman in Nashville. The band has announced they will play at the Mother Church Of Country Music six times in 2017.
