Move Over Law in Maryland – Obey It!

Officials are urging everyone to adhere to the ‘Move Over Law’ that has been in place in Maryland for the past several years.

The law requires drivers to ‘move over’ if possible.  This law aims to give extra safety to first responders, road crews, and those along the side of the road.
The law requires drivers if they are approaching emergency vehicles along the roadway, to ‘make a lane change into an available lane not immediately adjacent to the emergency vehicle’, if possible.
Motorists who cannot move over are asked to reduce their speed as much as possible.
Maryland State Police report in 2016 there were 58 incidences of MSP vehicles being struck.

VIDEO – Patrick Hanes vs Car: Heavy Metal Playground

I got a chance to hang out at the Heavy Metal Playground yesterday and make all of my inner 10 year dreams come true. You have to check this out if you haven’t been behind the wheel…er…sticks of an excavator! You get to dig, play, drive and beat up a car! I was really starting to get a hang of it, but I am totally not a natural!

They do contests too! Do you think you are better than your friends?

Super Awkward! Jerry Seinfeld Refuses to Hug Kesha! (Video)

This week we learned that Jerry Seinfeld is not a hugger or a Kesha fan.

The revelation was made Monday on the red carpet for A Night of Laughter and Song at the Kennedy Center. Jerry was in the middle of an interview when the singer interrupted and said, “I love you so much. Can I give you a hug?” The comedian said “no thanks” to the hug request. She said “Please?” but Jerry wasn’t having it and backed up saying “No, thanks.” Kesha finally got the message and walked off.

Seinfeld then told the reporter, “I don’t know who that was.” The reporter told him it was Kesha. But that didn’t seem to ring any bells for the comedian, who said, “Oh, OK. Well, I wish her the best.”

Mom Lets Snake Bite Her Toddler

This Florida mother says she was parenting – trying to teach her daughter not to touch snakes.  Who parents like this?  What’s next – turning on a hot stove and having her little touch the surface?

This ‘mother of the year’ then posted the video on Facebook.  She said her child was not hurt and called the incident a “learning lesson.”

The video sparked an investigation by the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.

Check out the video!

This is bad parenting in my opinion.

Foot Scanning & Shoe Roulette at New Balance!

I had a blast at the Frederick New Balance on Saturday during my live broadcast. I learned about the true meaning of the numbers on New Balance shoes, handed out lottery tickets and made a ton of friends. Here is just some of the fun we had!

  1. Foot Scanning with a Fit Specialist! Turns out the New Balance certifies employees that become a Fit Specialist.
  2. I let fate (aka Brian Mo) pick out my new pair of shoes!

New Shoes!
