CHRIS YOUNG

Last week, Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren finally welcomed their daughter Willa Grace to the United States. Over the past few months, the happy couple has been preparing for the arrival of both of their adopted and natural daughters. And they started with Thomas’s main living space — his tour bus.

Thomas Rhett talks bus modifications for babies. “So we took one whole side of bunks out and made a crib and like drawers. And then on the other side we knocked out two bunks and put two dog crates under there, so literally there’s one bunk left on our bus. But we’re now gonna have to get rid of the dog crates and probably add another crib because of the two babies, so it’s pretty nuts.”

BRETT YOUNG

Some people have trouble living in the moment or focusing on what’s going on around them right now, but Brett Young isn’t one of those people.

Brett Young talks about always living in the moment. “I’m actually probably too good at that, to the point where I’m not really looking ahead. And I didn’t used to be. It’s in the last couple of years I kind of conditioned myself to be that way. Just because, you know, with everything that’s going on right now, I need to make sure that I’m stopping and looking in and appreciating all of the small successes that we’re having.”

One Month to Go!!! AH!

ONE MONTH!!! Wow….I can’t believe it!

Well…one month and a day, but this time next month we will be setting up the huge tent and everything at my parents house for the wedding and probably running around making sure we have everything together that needs to be done last minute.

It has been quite an experience planning an outdoor, backyard wedding (reception, the ceremony is at a church still). If you are planning to do something similar please ask away with any questions you have because I have learned SO much! There are just so many additional things to think about, that a wedding event location may takes care of for you. But, I wouldn’t trade this once in a lifetime experience for anything. Especially, having it at my parents where I grew up and have so many memories.

So, what will I be up to in the next month?! Well we checked off buying all of the alcohol, which was huge (We found the BEST and cheapest place to buy it, if you need recommendations!), I ordered all of my favors over the weekend and I can’t wait for them to come in 😉 and tomorrow is my hair trial!!!!

I am sooo excited to see what my hair is going to look like for the wedding. You may have heard me rave about Unique Studio Hair Salon already on the morning show, but I really can’t say enough about how much I love the ladies that work there and how they brought my hair back to life. (They’re right in Downtown Frederick)

I think I am going to go with my hair being down, curly and pinned back on one side with a gorgeous hair clip that I picked up at TLC Bridal. It’s a very glam look if you can imagine that…just crossing my fingers it’s not too hot on June 17th. For my bridesmaids, I also wanted a pretty summery look, their hair will be down curly and pulled back with braids and a little touch of baby’s breath in the back!
So tomorrow, I head to Unique and we are going to test out both hairstyles. I’ll take pics and post them afterwards!

Next, I have my second and final make-up trial at Smooch! Studio…which is conveniently right next to Unique..so we will be going back and forth between the two on our wedding day as the girls and I get out hair and make-up done.

I’m also starting to work on the seating chart for tables at the wedding, I’ve been told that can be tricky so I’m getting a jump on that!  Then, that will move onto the big wooden board that will be on display. Tim made it and it’s so pretty 😉

Other final details, like finalizing suits with M.Stein and picking up my wedding dress from the woman doing the alterations will be easy.

Then there is coordinating with my wedding planner, photographer, caterer, Dj, florist, church and probably 10000 other people on plans and the timeline for that day!
Then comes the waiting and thinking and trying to make sure everything is perfect, when in reality we know not everything will be perfect, but it’s nothing you can stress about at the end of the day. All that matters is celebrating our love and family and friends around us!
Speaking of our families, they have made this entire process so much fun and we can’t thank them enough for the their endless support and work that they have put into our wedding. They do anything and everything they can to make it a special day that we will never forget.

More info and maybe even a vlog coming your way soon!!!

But Why!? Ben Higgins is a Bachelor Once Again….

Another Bachelor relationship bites the dust. Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, who got engaged at the end of season 20 in 2016, have announced their split.

Ben and Lauren called off their wedding back in November, so the writing was on the wall.

Ben was always on shaky ground with Lauren. You may recall that he told Lauren and JoJo Fletcher that he loved them both.

In a statement, the couple tells People magazine, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways. We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”

Disney Movie Held Hostage!

STUDIO CITY, CA — Disney’s been hacked, and one of the studio’s upcoming films is being held for ransom, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger reportedly announced Monday.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Iger made the comments at a town hall meeting with ABC Employees, but he didn’t identify the movie being held hostage. Iger said the hackers are threatening to release segments of the film unless Disney pays a huge bitcoin ransom, and that is something the studio is not willing to do. Instead, Disney is reportedly cooperating with federal investigators. The big question now is: will the hackers follow through with their threat?

Films slated for release this year include “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” which opens this Friday, and “Cars 3.” Other major franchise films already in the works over the next few years include: “Frozen 2,” “Star Wars: Episode IX,” “Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” “A Wrinkle In Time,” “Gigantic (3D),” “The Lion King (Live Action) (3D)” and “Indiana Jones.”

It’s not the first time hackers have held a film or television show for ransom.

Warning To Parents – 16 Year Old Dies After Drinking Too Much Caffeine

It’s a parent’s worst nightmare – losing a child.  For a South Carolina family, they are still in shock over the loss of their healthy 16 year old son who died from heart problems after drinking too much caffeine.

Authorities say Davis Cripe drank a large Mountain Dew, a latte from McDonald’s and an energy drink in the two hours before his heart fell out of rhythm at Spring Hill High School near Chapin on April 26.  The teen had no pre-existing heart conditions that might have caused him to collapse and die in a classroom last month.

Doctors say parents need to talk to their kids about drinking caffeine.  While a soda or a cup of coffee is OK for teens, large amounts of caffeine can be deadly.
