Random Acts of Kindness Day 4: Boys and Girls Club & FCPS

Day 4 is all about the kids!

“Nymeo’s random acts of kindness continues with WFRE! We gave away free ice from South Mountain Creamery? to the kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County and later, lunch was provided by Wawa to the community liaisons staff at FCPS. Thank you, Free Country 99.9 WFRE or your partnerships with South Mountain Creamery and Wawa.”

Interesting People: Kristin Zimmerman – Light The Night

I will be at this year’s Light the Night walk at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium on October 28th. LtN Campaign Manager Kristin Zimmerman gave me a rundown of the walk, the research it has funded, and why I am going tear up when I see white lanterns. I also love their motto! “When we walk, cancer runs.”

Downtown Frederick will be wonderful that night!

Registration opens at 5:00 PM
Opening ceremony at 6:30 PM
Walk – Loop to Market and back to Keys Stadium.

Random Acts of Kindness Day 2: Fire and Rescue & Police Dept

Day 2 was fun!

This morning, breakfast from Denny’s was provided to Frederick Fire & Rescue. Later, Frederick County’s Police Dept. enjoyed lunch from Pizza Hut. We want to thank WFRE for their partnership with these places!
