Good News: Phone App Lets Restaurant Customers Donate Meals While Dining

An amazing mobile phone app developed just three years ago has already helped people eating at restaurants provide more than 100,000 meals to people in need with no cost to the app user.

23-year-old Andrew Glantz and 20-year-old Aidan Folbe created GiftAMeal in 2015.

When users of the app visit a participating restaurant all they have to do is take a photo and a donation is made to an area food bank. Even better, if the photo is shared on a social media site, the donation doubles. If shared on two sites, like Facebook and Instagram, the donation is tripled.

It’s a win-win for the restaurants and the food banks — because the restaurants get social media attention, which drives enough extra business to make donations to the food banks.

Snail Facials and Creams Are The New Magic Ingredient for Your Face!

Snails crawling on your face?? Could you do it?

Well even though their slimy mucus is filled with beauty-enhancers and studies are showing it’s a great acne treatment, you won’t have to literally put a snail on your face to get the benefits!

Many new creams are hitting the shelves to help reduce inflammation and minimize acne scars.

We’re not the first country to try out the ‘goo’, up on the latest skin care trends, Korea has been using snail cream for some time now.

So…could you handle knowing there was snail ‘goo’ in your facial cream?

Good News: Bride Signs at Wedding

Brides have been walking down the aisle forever, but never has there been an entrance quite as sweet and touching as this one from an Australian bride named Liz Shoesmith.

Liz recently married her husband, Scott, who is deaf, and had a big surprise for him at their ceremony.

Rather than just walking down the aisle to a song that Scott wouldn’t be able to hear, Liz learned how to sign every lyric to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” Then, as she stepped into the aisle, she stopped and signed the entire song for Scott.

Liz said, “Even though Scott is deaf, I have never felt more heard in my life. For every joy he has brought into my life over the last two years, I wanted to surprise him with my entrance.” She added, “The moment I locked eyes with him I never looked away and it was a special moment just between the two of us. He held it together for a few seconds before crying the whole way through the song.”

The magical moment was captured on video, which has since gone viral. (People)
