April 27th 1994. I was just about to finish my 10th Grade Year at Langley High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. Bill Clinton was the President, gas was $1.09 a gallon and Faith Hill’s “Piece of my Heart” was the #1 Country Song in the USA! That was the last time the Washington Capitals beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in the playoffs!
The Caps had won 1 series and lost 9 all time…. The last 1 was in 1994…. Until now!
I make it no secret that I love my hometahn dearly! I also realize I’m in “enemy territory” being a Penguins fan in Caps-land!
I had a chance this year to go to a Caps game that didn’t involved the Penguins and boy was I impressed! The fans, the atmosphere, the knowledge of the game! This is a fanbase that deserves it!
Good Luck to the Caps as they move forward in the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

The members of the Davisson Brothers Band and the music they make are a direct reflection of where they come from and the brand for which they stand. Hailing from the hills and hollers of rural West Virginia, the Davisson Brothers Band lives and breathes an authentic wild and wonderful, country lifestyle with music being the foundation. They take great pride in their heritage, roots and rugged backwoods culture. The four piece has an amazing, high energy show that mesmerizes crowds and makes people proud of who they are and where they come from.
The band consists of brothers, Donnie Davisson and Chris Davisson, along with long-time friends, Aaron Regester and Rus Report. The band has toured coast to coast with thousands of live shows under their belt in every situation and at every type of event imaginable. They are a very well-rounded band who can hold their own on any stage, anywhere with anyone.
Now being based out of Nashville, TN, the Davisson Brothers Band has joined forces with some of “Music City’s” elite. Teaming up with Erv Woolsey (Erv Woolsey Management Company) and Grammy Award winning producer, Keith Stegall, to make their new record, the band will be releasing their new single, “Po’ Boyz” this fall to country radio with an album to follow.
Rising country artist Stephanie Quayle continues to captivate listeners whether she is on stage in a packed venue or a small intimate setting. Recently invited to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry, host the ACM Awards red carpet with partners Wrangler and Wrangler Network along with an invitation to perform for the five former U.S. presidents (Obama, W. Bush, Clinton, H.W. Bush and Carter) as part of the hurricane relief concert “Deep From The Heart: The One America Appeal” in Texas, the vibrant blonde’s radiating energy and booming personality grabs hold of an audience and doesn’t let go as she belts out her songs from behind her guitar and piano.
“Man, country music is better off with [Stephanie Quayle] in it!” – Lee Greenwood
Newest radio single, “Selfish,” offers a bold and honest female perspective that is garnering reactions from couples at every live performance. The song is climbing the Billboard Country Airplay chart and making waves all across the country.
“What can I say… I know how I feel about my man. I want all of his time. I can’t get enough of him. Walking into my writing session that day, we came up with this positive twist to a word that is usually a negative one. It’s been amazing to see couples react to this song like this is their story too. It is taking on a life of its own.”
Quayle covered over 9,000 miles on her summer “Winnebago Tour” in support of her latest project. Prompted by the single, “Winnebago,” the song transported the listener to all the beautiful places scattered throughout this great land from the Empire State to the Golden Gate and literally put Quayle on the road to live out each lyric from coast to coast.
“I just want to go live this song. I’d never seen the Hoover Dam before and I wanted to take a picture under Mt Rushmore! Growing up in the West, my grandparents would pull up in their motorhome and all the kids would jump in for the summer. It’s almost like everything has come full circle — Here I am singing about traveling this great country on the ultimate cross-country road trip in a new home on wheels!”
Partnering with national brands Kampgrounds of America (KOA), Winnebago, Polaroid and regional influencers The RV Loft and Summerfield Farms, the tour became a reality and took on a life of its own as Quayle played pop up concerts at must-stop destinations like the top of the Empire State Building, Mt Rushmore, the Hoover Dam, Niagara Falls while staying and performing at KOA campgrounds across the country.
Produced by the award-winning Matt McClure (2013 CMA “Song of the Year” – “I Drive Your Truck” by Lee Brice), Quayle’s album LOVE THE WAY YOU SEE ME is receiving critically-acclaimed reception with tracks penned by Quayle like “Post It,” “I’ve Got Your Six,” and the title track along with crowd favorites “Days Like These” “Ugly” and previous single “Drinking With Dolly.”
Nashville is buzzing about the rising star. Rolling Stone Country named Quayle a Top 10 “Artist You Need To Know;” Billboard.com filmed the exclusive performance on top of the Empire State Building; Our Own Nashville calls the new album one of the “most refreshing good albums” heard in awhile; and attended the star-studded Farrah Fawcett Foundation benefit event as a special guest and performer.
Quayle’s debut single “Drinking With Dolly” from the new record is close to her heart. It is an anthem for all the women of country in a time when female artists are rising together to make a major impact in today’s music scene. Quayle celebrated her first Top 50 record on the Billboard Indicator chart. The single was a catalyst for moments like a #1 music video on the CMT Music 12-Pack Countdown, her national television debut, and an invitation to the respected Island Hopper Songwriter’s Festival.
Trent Harmon was excited to tell his girlfriend that he had big news. But she did too…she was leaving. When his longtime love shared she was moving to Thailand to fulfill her dream of teaching overseas, the Country singer-songwriter was heartbroken.
Propelled into the writing room with the raw emotion of how much he would miss her, he suddenly felt a kinship with pets everywhere. \”I equate it to whenever a dog\’s owner leaves,\” says Trent with a laugh. \”In their brain, that’s the last time that dog thinks he\’s ever going to see you again. So, I said it out loud, \’Guys, I\’m the dog who she just left forever.’\”
Fortunately, Trent’s empty feeling had a happy ending. \”Of course, she came back,\” he says with a sheepish smile. And not only did he get the girl, he delivered a poignant new single, cut-you-to-the-core “You Got ‘Em All (Big Machine Records).
The chill-inducing song is a study of the particular type of solitude he was left to experience, running down the laundry list of shared memories and sung in the expansive tenor that won Trent the title on the last season of American Idol in 2016.
From the lone piano notes that open the ballad to the story-telling lyrics of a girl fleeing her small town to spread her wings and the boy lost without her, “You Got ‘Em All” perfectly encapsulates that universal bittersweet ache of letting someone go. His expressive vocals blending melody and sentiment of knowing the right thing to do if you truly love someone. “I don\’t get to be with you, but I hope you\’re happy. I hope that fills that void that you\’re leaving me with,\” sums up Trent.
Amazingly, Trent says that he and co-writers Justin Ebach (SESAC Songwriter of the Year 2017) and Jordan Minton—whom he had never met before—wrote “You Got ‘Em All” in under an hour.
“It was so strange,” says Trent of the speedy session. “I don\’t normally write like that. I\’m really slow and methodical. I think that’s why her sudden news shook me at first.” But his wounded pride coupled with Minton’s impending nuptials—he was headed to his rehearsal dinner that night—provided inspiration. “We had two opposite trains of thoughts going on.” Indeed, Trent credits Jordan with bringing the hopeful energy to the song since, if left to his own devices, he says with a laugh, “It just would’ve been sad. I was probably 90/10 sad and he and he brought me back to about 60/40.”
“You Got ‘Em All” is one of hundreds of songs that Trent wrote, with some of the biggest songwriters in Nashville, after dedicating himself to an ambitious mission. At the start of 2017 he told his publisher Big Machine Music \”I want to write once a day until February 2018. Twice a day if you can schedule them.” He kept his word to himself and is in the process selecting songs for his debut album, to follow up his Top 15 introduction called “There’s a Girl.”
This writing process was therapeutic for Trent, who over the past year hadn’t been able to record music because of contract restrictions through hisprevious management deal. Though winning American Idol was a dream come true, it brought along a unique set of challenges. Yet like the moments of rising to the top each week, Trent once again has triumphed with his most personal work to date.
Growing up working on his parents’ farm and in their farm-to-table restaurant in northeast Mississippi, Trent recalls plugging his headphones in and singing along with everyone from Dolly Parton and Patty Loveless to Elvis Presley and Marty Robbins—his first album purchase—and being inspired to learn piano, guitar and drums to put his own music under that big voice.
That soaring-to-the-rafters voice propelled him into the national spotlight, but now, fans will experience the soul behind the singer. With the release of “You Got ‘Em All” Trent exposes his heart, offering more than just the ending creds of TV.
