Damascus Community Fair

🎡 Damascus Community Fair – Sept. 4–7, 2025 🎡

For nearly a century, the Damascus Community Fair has been a cherished tradition, bringing neighbors together to celebrate our rich agricultural heritage. From Elwood Nehouse’s ribbon-winning entries back in 1926 and 1927, through its post-WWII revival, to its current home at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department grounds, the Fair has been a gathering place for friendly competition, entertainment, and community pride.

This year’s Fair runs Thursday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 7 with fun for the whole family:

  • Thursday (Entry Night) – Drop off exhibits and small animals from 4–8 PM.
  • Friday (Kids’ Day) – Animal exhibits, glass-blowing demonstrations, free popcorn, the always-fun Veggie 500 races, and the Ice Cream Making Contest at 6 PM. Plus, 99.9 WFRE will be broadcasting live from 5–7 PM, so stop by and say hello!
  • Saturday (Family Day) – The Kids’ Fun Run, hayrides, livestock shows, pedal tractor pulls, a community fashion show, live bluegrass, and the always-popular Cake Auction.
  • Sunday (Grandparents’ Day) – Touch-a-Truck, dairy livestock show, live music, rabbit Olympics, and a special Grandparents’ Program.

Throughout the weekend, you’ll find free activities for kids, delicious food (including nightly fried chicken dinners), live entertainment, and a wide range of exhibits showcasing the best of Damascus.

Come celebrate community, tradition, and hometown fun at the Damascus Community Fair 2025 – where history comes alive and memories are made!
