Frederick, Md. (DG) – A Miami man has been federally indicted for the murder of his ex-wife and her boyfriend in Frederick County, Maryland. Thirty-five-year-old David Turner faces charges of interstate travel to commit domestic violence resulting in death, and using a firearm during a crime of violence resulting in death.
Authorities say Turner traveled from another state to Lake Linganore on August 25, 2024, where he broke into the home of his former spouse, Crimea Baker. Turner fatally shot Baker and a second victim, Sean Lange. Baker’s four children were in the home at the time but were unharmed.
Turner was arrested in Florida in September 2024 and was returned to Frederick County last December. Federal prosecutors announced the indictment on Thursday as the investigation continues.
