Montgomery County Police Report 3 Teens Responsible For Shootings In Germantown And Damascus

Samuel Wisdom

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Montgomery County Police say three teens are now facing charges in connection with a series of shootings that stretched across Germantown and Damascus over the past year and a half.

Eighteen-year-old Samuel Wisdom of Germantown, and 17-year-olds Ai’Jai Tyrell Smith-Nelson and Jaden Ochieng are accused of being involved in multiple incidents, including shootings in the Damascus Gardens community.

Investigators say one of the most serious cases happened on August 18th, when shots were fired at an SUV with three women inside on Gaelic Court in Germantown. No one was hurt, but Wisdom is now charged with attempted murder and several gun offenses.

Detectives later tied all three suspects to another shooting just days later on Bethesda Church Road in Damascus, where one person was seriously injured.

Police say Ochieng was also linked to earlier shootings in 2024 near Neelsville Middle School and on Crystal Rock Drive — and was wearing an ankle monitor that had been removed the day of the August 21st shootings.

All three suspects remain in custody.
