He was charged following an investigation which began early this year.
Taneytown, Md (KM) A Taneytown man was arrested on Wednesday following an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation into distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says Larry Hunter Jennings, 26, was taken into custody, and charged with ten counts each of possession and distribution of child pornography. . He’s currently being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center.
The Sheriff’s Office says in January, 2025, the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation Unit began a probe into possession of child sexual abuse material on line and found evidence of distribution.
At around 4:30 AM on Wednesday, August 6th, authorities served a search warrant on Jennings’ home. Electronic devices were confiscated. They will undergo further forensic analysis, authorities say.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Carroll County Advocacy and Investigations Unit coordinates with the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task force. It focuses on identifying those persons involved in child sexual abuse material over the internet, and other related crimes that victimize children.
