Officer is currently in surgery, injures not life-threatening
Hagerstown, Md. (DG) – A Hagerstown Police Officer was struck by gunfire early this morning during a domestic violence incident.
Around 5 AM on June 12th Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 700 block of Forrest Drive for a domestic violence call.
During the call, the male suspect fired at a Hagerstown Police Officer, striking him once in the arm.
Authorities say the injured officer is currently in surgery. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
The suspect is still barricaded inside the home.
