Man Arrested For Drug Offenses Following A Traffic Stop In Hagerstown

Authorities say he had a large amount of suspected fentanyl.

Hagerstown, Md (KM) One man is charged with drug offenses following a traffic stop last week in Hagerstown.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says deputes stopped a vehicle on Monday night, May 5th on North Mulberry Street near East Washington Street in Hagerstown.  A police canine brought to the scene scanned the vehicle, and indicated the presence of narcotics. A search of  the passenger, Roate Terrell Wilmer, 25,   netted 150 capsules of suspected fentanyl weighing 79 grams, deputies say.

Wilmer   was taken into custody , and charged with possession of a large amount of narcotics, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.   He was transported to the Central Booking.

The Sheriff’s Office says  Wilmer also has an outstanding warrant from Frederick County, Maryland.
