Today we’re tipping our hats to an absolute legend — Tom Whalen — as he steps into retirement. And while WFRE won’t feel quite the same without him on the air every day… his impact is going to be felt for a long, long time. 
For over 13 years, Tom exclusively endorsed Jay Day And The Day Home Team at LPT Realty, and we’ll never take for granted what that kind of trust means. 
Our weekly podcast was the very first podcast Jay and Tom ever did together — and somehow (with a whole lot of consistency and a little chaos 
) we created 448 episodes delivering real-time, “Real Talk” market updates to WFRE listeners.
We rode through every kind of market:
hot markets
shifting markets
“wait… what is happening?” markets
…and yes — even COVID, when we found ways to keep the podcast going so listeners could still get real answers when it mattered most. 
But here’s the real story…
Over the years, this became more than radio. We became friends… and honestly, family. 
Tom didn’t just support our business — he trusted Jay with his own real estate needs, and the needs of the people closest to him.
And in between recording episodes, we made a lifetime of memories:
