A two-year-old Detroit boy is alive thanks to his 10-year-old brother who learned CPR by watching Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson do it in the movie San Andreas.
When Jacob O’Connor saw his little brother lying face-down in their pool, he pulled him out and began doing chest compressions, which he remembered seeing Johnson’s character doing in a scene from the movie.
Johnson heard about this story in the news and is hailing Jacob as a hero. He tweeted, “Real life hero 10-year-old old Jacob O’Connor found his 2-year-old brother, Dylan lying face down in their pool. Amazing story. Amazing boy. Thank you media friends for covering such an inspiring story. What a brave (and calm) 10-year-old old boy in the face of that heightened distress.”
Dylan spent a day in the hospital and was sent home. He’s expected to be fine. (Hollywood Reporter)
