Daniel Day-Lewis is retiring from acting and he already has his next career lined up.
According to Page Six, the Oscar-winner plans to “become a dressmaker.”
The actor announced last week that he’s leaving showbusiness. Page Six says he was planning to quit for years and had been searching for the right film to go out on top with. He apparently found that with Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming movie about — you guessed it — the world of high fashion.
A source says Daniel “did such intense research and learned so much about couture fashion for his final film playing ‘an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society. that he will stick with the profession off-screen and become a dressmaker.”
The as-yet-untitled movie comes out December 25th.
