Blake Lively has social media in a tizzy after saying she has an “L.A. face with an Oakland booty.”
That caption accompanied a side-by-side photo of the actress at Cannes showing off her ample backside and some folks called it racist. One Twitter user said, “Another day, another rich white woman using WOC’s bodies as a punchline and commodity. As if Blake Lively wasn’t the worst already.”
But others defended the star, saying Blake was only quoting a lyric from Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.”
TMZ also pointed out that Katy Perry and Khloe Kardashian have used the same quote on social media “without getting ripped.” (Premiere Prep)
