{Good News} Teen Dances to a New Beat

A Maryland teen has become one of the greatest advocates for the importance of organ donation after receiving a life-saving heart transplant.

15-year-old Amari Hall underwent the successful surgery and just six days later was cleared to go home. And there was absolutely no question about whether he was physically ready to be released because he showed off some dance moves in his bed while his mother laughed and celebrated.

Juaquinna Hall says, “All his life he has been a fighter. He remained positive throughout it all.”

Amari was born with a congenital heart defect and had undergone several surgeries. Two years ago doctors determined he would need a heart transplant to save his life.

After three months in the hospital and a heart transplant, Hall is now home and doctors believe he’ll be able to go back to school in the fall. (ABC News)
