Coordinated operation targets illegal drugs and guns in downtown Hagerstown.



Hagerstown, MD (JK) – Seven people were arrested on January 2, 2026, during a major law enforcement operation in downtown Hagerstown aimed at cracking down on illegal drugs and firearms.
The operation involved the Washington County Narcotics Task Force, Hagerstown Police Department, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN).
Arrests and charges include:
Adam Schianodicola (Frederick, MD) – outstanding warrant from Pennsylvania
Pierre Nelson (Hagerstown, MD) – cocaine possession, resisting arrest, and driving without a license
David Garland (Hagerstown, MD) – failure to appear for theft charges
Michael Holton (Hagerstown, MD) – probation violations and trespassing
Jamari Williams (Gwynn Oak, MD) – multiple firearm and drug distribution charges
Seiyid Benton (Baltimore, MD) – firearm and drug-related charges
Alfonso Torres (Chambersburg, PA) – theft-related charges
MCIN, part of the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy, focuses on disrupting gangs, violent crime, and drug networks through enforcement, prevention, and information-sharing initiatives.
Authorities say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to make Hagerstown streets safer and reduce illegal drug activity in the community.
