Crews will be doing overnight geological work.

Annapolis, Md (KM) The Maryland State Highway Administration says this week it will close and detour the ramp from eastbound Interstate 70 to US Route 40 in Indian Springs in Washington County.
The closure and detour will take place from Wednesday, January 14th through Friday, January 16th. SHA says it will perform geological work for a future bridge replacement project for the I-70 bridge over Licking Creek. The work is expected to take place from 7:00 PM until 4:00 AM each day. .
Motorists will be detoured. They will continue eastbound on I-70 to MD. 56 (Big Pool Road/exit 12) and back to eastbound US 40. Drivers heading in that direction should allow extra travel time.
Maryland State Highway Administration will be drilling test holes.
Crews will use signage, construction barrels, and cones to assist motorists in moving through the detour and the work zone.
