Carroll County deputies arrested two women following an organized retail theft investigation that began at a Sykesville Ulta Beauty store.
Sykesville, Md. (DG) – Two suspects are in custody after what investigators describe as an organized retail theft spanning multiple stores.
Carroll County deputies were called to the Ulta Beauty on Ridge Road in Sykesville just after 1 p.m. on December 12 following a reported theft. Police learned the suspects had fled in a black Infiniti, which was soon spotted by a Sykesville police officer heading south on Route 32.
The vehicle was later located at a home in Jessup, where detectives served a search warrant. Authorities say they recovered more than eleven thousand dollars’ worth of stolen merchandise taken from the Sykesville Ulta and several other locations.
The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Dasjanae Timmons and 23-year-old Dahmira Laboo. Both are charged with felony theft and organized retail theft and are being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center.
