Everyone thinks that I am insane for liking anchovies, so I thought I should keep the crazy train moving with unhealthy asparagus.
This is a recipe I found for part of the 1st wedding anniversary dinner I made my wife.

I assume this dish has French roots because the asparagus ends up being a vehicle for butter. The only piece of advice I have is to make the sauce in the microwave. It is a time-saver and I doubt most people will notice a difference in the taste.
We had this as a side dish with steak and it is also great with chicken.
