A Little About Me
I was born in New York, NY and grew up in Miami Beach, FL.  Even though I've been up north for 13 years, I still miss the warm South Florida winters, however, I do like to have a change of seasons.  I've been here at WFRE for 8 years and love everything about Frederick (except the traffic).  I have a dachshund named Marvin who is spoiled rotten (whose fault is that).  I never miss "Grey's Anatomy," "Ugly Betty," or "Desperate Housewives."  I also love to cook, and spend lots of time watching the Food Network.

A very special person in our community, Debbie Williams, stopped by to talk to me on the air today.  She is known throughout Frederick County for her tireless efforts in raising money for people in need, particularly those suffering from the devastating effects of cancer.  The charity that she runs, The Patty Pollatos Fund, Inc" is teaming up with Boss Hoss Cycles & Trikes to sponsor the IBR Bull Riding Extravaganza next Saturday night, July 26.  If you would like to find out more about the event, or purchase tickets, go to ppfinc.org or you can call (301) 663-8316.

Also, Debbie is in need of an RV to bring to a community of Burlington in Iowa that was devastated by the recent flooding of the Mississippi River.  If you have an RV that you can help out with, please call Debbie Williams at the above number or (301) 748-4241.

Thank you.
I'm and IDIOT

We all curse the idiots who run red lights and stop signs.  You know, the ones that, when we're lucky, we miss having a collision with, and often do get into accidents with.  I don't have to stress how important it is to drive carefully, and remind you of the damage you can cause when you don't.

I've been driving for 28 years, never a ticket, never an accident that was my fault.  Last week, however, I was the IDIOT that wasn't paying attention.  I ran a red light and hit another vehicle.  Fortunately I did not injure the other driver, and caused only minimal damage to his vehicle.  I was not injured either, except for a few scrapes and bruises.  I did, however, total my car.

I was lucky.  The next person may not be so lucky.  Please drive carefully!

I love my job, but there are days when I REALLY love my job!  Today is one of those days, as a brand new artist stopped by the studio to play a few songs.  You may have heard him on the air... Jeremy McComb.  He said that his website won a national award.  It's really cool, so check it out here:
