It's been 12 years since 9/11. You are going to hear a lot today about THAT tragic day. Those of you who know me or listen to me, know that I am NOT a political person. I'm all about family and fun and living each day to the fullest. Politics....not really my thing. You'll hear a lot today about what we've done right and wrong since that day.
How do I want to remember this day? For the amazing way this country came together. For the hero's who didn't run away from, but right into danger. For the family members and many friends who have served since then to keep this country strong. For those lives we've lost on, and since that day. I know we don't always agree about everything.....We will always have our differences. For that one moment in time we were all one. We were all Americans who loved our country and families a little more that day. Who realized in the rush of everyday life that there are things more important then the latest iPhone or hottest App. We were reminded that being a mother, father, husband, wife, daughter or son will always be the most valuable thing you have. We were reminded that in the rush of everything else that happened then - and since that day - that you have little control over what happens in the world. Take care of what means the world to YOU and hold it close
