- Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Pistol Annies and Taylor Swift are the first round of artists set to perform at the 2013 CMT Music Awards. The event, hosted by Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell, airs live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena June 5.
- Pistol Annies will bring 15 winners from their Pistol Annies Adventure: The Case Of The Stolen Gear contest to watch them perform at the Ram Country Live! On Yahoo! Music May 15. The concert will be streamed live here.
- Toby Keith will receive the National Music Publishers' Association's 2013 Songwriter Icon Award. He'll join the NMPA's President's Award recipient U.S. Congressman Ted Deutch for a presentation during the organization's Annual Meeting at the Marriott Marquis in NYC June 12.

George Strait Love Is Everything (MCA)
Strait co-produced his 40th studio album with Tony Brown. It features 13 new tracks, including the lead single "Give It All We Got Tonight," which launched a campaign to score his 60th No. 1 single to coincide with his 60th birthday. Strait co-wrote three songs with Dean Dillon and his son Bubba Strait, in addition to the solo written song "I Just Can't Go On Dying Like This."
Trace Adkins Love Will ... (Show Dog-Universal)
Five different producers including Frank Rogers (Josh Turner, Darius Rucker) and Mark Wright helped Adkins create the 11-track album of love songs. Highlights include a collaboration with Exile for a cover of their 1978 hit "Kiss All Over You."
Various Artists Everybody Has A Story
Kix Brooks, Vince Gill and Faith Hill are just a few of the country artists who recorded songs written by patients of the Monroe Carell Jr, Children's Hospital in Nashville. Music therapist Jenny Plume has been teaching sick kids to write music, and spearheaded the project.
